PDF Printer Drivers - Turn any document into a PDF
CutePDF Writer:  PDF creation software that installs itself as a "printer subsystem.". This enables virtually any Windows application (must be able to print) to create perfect PDF documents with just a push of a button. It's easy to install and easy to use. It contains no watermarks or pop-up advertisements. Fixed the saving problem on network drive and works with terminal services now.
PDFCREATOR: Not all PDF printer emulators are alike. Adobe Acrobat is the standard. Other PDF creation software will produce slightly different results. This program is compatible with the "Publish to PDF" function in WordPerfect X3 to X6. Watch for a full discussion of this on our FAQ page and possibly a future tutorial on using PDF drivers. For now, this is the driver we recommend for use in producing accurate and consistent PDF files for your Part 135 Operations and Training manuals.
Foxit PDF Reader:  This is an alternative viewer/reader for PDF documents. Foxit PDF Reader is only 2.5MB to download and doesn’t need lengthy installation. Just download, unzip, and run. It works with all types of PDF documents you might have, with high display quality. It supports different languages, including most Asian languages. You can zoom in/out or rotate page display, copy text information to other applications, search text in PDF documents, or print PDF documents. With Foxit Reader you can now comment a PDF file. Instead of putting Post-it notes on your printed file, your POI can comment the PDF directly. We recommend Foxit Reader to our Manual Clients to comment the manuals for revision.
SyncToy v2.1:  This utility is available as a free download on the Microsoft Download Center. The easy to use, customizable application helps you copy, move, rename, and delete files between folders and computers. We use this program to sync files that we want included in our internet backup on the main server. (See Mozy and iDrive below).
Karen’s Power Tools: Karen is the author of the popular Power Tools, free programs that make life with Windows a lot easier.   Replicator: Automatically backup files, directories, even entire drives! Karen's Replicator copies selected files from one drive/folder to another. Source and Destination folders can reside anywhere on your network. Files larger than 2 GB are supported
Virtual PC 2007:  This is a tool for installing multiple copies of an operating system on one computer. This program allows you the flexibility to run buggy software, beta software or even software that might contain possible Spyware, Adware and even a virus. The best part of running an OS in Virtual PC is that if an image is infected or isn't working properly, all you have to do is trash it and use a different image. No reinstalling, no data loss and you are back at the races in less time then you can say "Virtual PC 2007".
Xplorer2 Lite:  You can easily adapt the interface to your preferences. Toolbars and information windows can be moved on a whim. You can browse two or more folders in one window, using program tabs and different panes. What’s more, you can customize search windows and save the settings for later use. Visual filters improve crowded directory readability. You can easily rename multiple files at once, split or merge files, synchronize folders, and shred data to prevent recovery.
CopyPath:  We really like this one. This small utility is used to copy the full path and file name of any file or folder to your Windows clipboard. Simply right-click any file or folder and choose Copy File Path or Copy Folder Path and paste it where you need it.
Belarc Advisor: Build a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, including Microsoft Hotfixes and software serial numbers, and shows the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any Web server.
Mozy and iDrive: Our computer systems are backed up every day to an on-site network server with removable drives that are taken offsite each day. We use 5 drives that are swapped out prior to each cycle. Additionally each computer is backed up using an internet service. There are two services on the internet that we like. The first is This is the service we have chosen to use for our backups. The second service is iDrive provides 150 GB of backup for $49.95 per year. Both Mozy and iDrive will give you 2 GB for free so you can try them out.

Google Voice Google Voice is the Internet based phone forwarding service by Google. It was previously known as GrandCentral. Google Voice is free except for international calls. Google Voice gives you a separate phone number which you can give out as if it is your regular phone number. You can then change your settings to have calls forward to any of your phones. You can forward to one group of phones during the day and another at night. You can have calls from certain numbers forward differently than calls from other numbers. You can block spamming callers and send some calls straight to voice mail. Google Voice can send you an SMS message or an email whenever you get a voice mail message, and you can check your voice mail from the Web or from your phone. As of this writing, Google Voice is limited to users within the USA and is by invitation only.
